About the Artist
Joanci Cullati has passionately pursued the discipline of art and design her entire life. She is a seasoned faux finisher and muralist who has been beautifying homes for 20 years. The first of many murals in her repertoire was for her daughter's nursery, featuring a Bambi theme and encompassing all four walls. After becoming a single mom, she decided to make a career out of what she loved to do.
Joanci launched her career as a professional painter, faux finisher, and muralist in 1998. While collecting samples for her portfolio, she learned the basics of preparation and base coating by training under a professional painter for two years. She started her own business in 2000, enhancing homes in the Baltimore region with custom wall treatments and falling in love with the creative process of pleasing her clients. No matter what a project requires, Joanci will do the work and figure out how it can be done. She is highly motivated to find just the right effect for just the right space because her clients want her to create something special; it's not just another coat of paint. Joanci has a multitude of skills encompassing not only decorative painting but also base painting, fine art, color selection and furniture painting.
